Organized by Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), BBBCC 2026 is guided by the theme Sustainable Innovation & Regional Impact.

What is a Business Case Challenge?

Teams receive a real-world business or social case, identify core problems, propose feasible solutions, and present recommendations to judges.

Competition Rounds

BBBCC 2026 consists of three stages: Preliminary Screening, Round 1 - Real Case Challenge, and Final Round Live Pitching.
Round 1: 96 Hours Challenge
  • Case release: 00:00 August 7, 2026 (GMT+7)
  • Submission deadline: 23:59 August 10, 2026 (GMT+7)
  • Report, presentation deck, and video required

Analyze a new case from 00:00 August 7 to 23:59 August 10, 2026 (GMT+7). Submit a report, presentation deck, and video.

Round 2: Grand Finale
  • Top 06 teams qualify for the Grand Finale 
  • 24-hour preparation for a new case Live Zoom pitching: August 23, 2026, 16:00-19:00 (UTC+9)

The top 06 teams receive a new case, prepare within 24 hours, and present live via Zoom on August 23, 2026.

Identify one social, environmental, or business challenge affecting your local community or Southeast Asia. Submit no more than 3 slides in PDF format.

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION

Who Can Participate

High school students from grades 10 to 12, or equivalent levels, currently studying in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, or Cambodia.
Recent high school graduates within the past 03 years who are not currently enrolled at a higher education institution.
Each team must consist of 04 members.
Team members do not need to be from the same school or country.
Each individual may only register to participate in 01 team throughout the competition.

Technical Submission Guidelines

  • File naming: TeamName_Round_DocumentName
  • Report: PDF; Slides: PPTX or PDF; Video: MP4
  • Submit through the link sent to the team leader's registered email
  • AI may support research and language refinement, but copied AI output cannot be submitted as original work

All deadlines are strict. Late submissions are not accepted. All submissions and presentations must be in English

Judging Rubric & Awards

Use the official rubric as a checklist when building your analysis, solution, slides, and presentation video. Awards include a 10,000 JPY voucher for the Champion, certificates, and APU gifts for finalist teams.
All teams participating in the Preliminary Round will receive an e-Certificate of Participation

1.Can I participate if I have no prior knowledge of business or economics?

Absolutely! The competition emphasizes creativity, logical thinking, and teamwork rather than intensive academic knowledge. You will be guided through detailed materials and instructions provided by APU.

2. Q: What if I don't have enough members to form a 4-person team?

 Each team must consist of exactly 04 members. However, team members do not need to be from the same school or country. We highly encourage you to connect with other interested students in your network or our community to form a complete team!

3. Q: Are we allowed to use AI tools for our submission?

The use of AI tools for research, brainstorming, or refining language is permitted. However, directly copying content generated by AI or submitting AI-generated content as your original work without substantial human input and critical analysis is strictly prohibited and will be considered a breach of academic integrity.

4. Q: Will there be any participation fees?

No, participation in the Beyond Borders Business Case Challenge 2026 is 100% free for all eligible high school students from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.
